Who We Are

Eastside Young & Jewish is dedicated to growing a vibrant and inspired network of young Jewish folks in their 20s and 30s here in Bellevue. We provide a holistic milieu of dynamic social events, career-focused professional functions, handcrafted educational experiences, meaningful spiritual gatherings and opportunities for authentic relationships.

Our Vision

We believe that Judaism and one's relationship with G-d could be dynamic, beautiful, personal and deeply sincere. That Jewish experiences should be relevant, exciting, soulful, and inviting. And that EYJ can be your community, your family and your home.

Each one of us has the ability to impact our surroundings and create change in our local community, and by extension, the world.

Let's build the Eastside Young Jewish community, together.

”The requirement for your standard young Jewish professional community is simple: Judaism and good food carousing through the veins of young professional Jews. But EYJ Bellevue is more than that. Sure, there are Jews (both young and professional). And, obviously, plenty of (delicious) food. But what truly sets Eastside Young Jewish apart from your basic young Jewish professional community are its directors: Baby Musya and her parents Mina and Levi.

Eastside Young Jewish is built on our shared Jewish religion, ethnicity, and traditions complemented by an inherent sense of comfort. Because first and foremost, Mina and Levi become your friends. And they make it easy for all of us to connect with each other at a stage in our lives when meeting new people, let alone making friends, is hard. Judaism shapes this community, but friendship binds us together. The everyday chitchat.  The stories. The laughter. And of course, the food.”

Rabbi Levi & Mina Farkash
Co-Directors

Rabbi Levi grew up here in Bellevue. After studying all over the world including Argentina and Australia, he got rabbinically ordained in Boca Raton, FL. Being a part of the Eastside Torah Center community from its conception gave Rabbi Levi the passion to continue the growth of Jewish life on the Eastside.

Mina originally hails from Atlanta Georgia, where she grew up in a family dedicated to community. Her parents direct Chabad outreach for the state of Georgia. She spent time studying in New York and Israel and has a love for community and Jewish education.

Rabbi Levi and Mina, along with their daughter Musya, began directing Eastside Young & Jewish in 2019 hoping to create a  vibrant young Jewish community  where all feel welcome to discover, connect, and celebrate.
